SERVING DOWNTOWN L.A.'S HOMELESS POPULATION

The Salvation Army's Zahn Memorial Center is the only emergency shelter for families in downtown Los Angeles.

We are focused on locating long term housing for each family, including transitional and permanent housing options. We serve families in downtown Los Angeles, and provide individuals in crisis with an immediate, safe place to stay and the resources to begin getting their lives back on track.

Zahn serves its community with a needs based housing program where the homeless, those affected by addiction and those with HIV/AIDS can have a roof over their heads, feel secure and be free from the elements. It provides a temporary home and safe haven for those who are unemployed due to chronic diseases, mental health issues and substance abuse.

Our homes give each family their own bathroom, beds, living rooms, kitchen, and, case managers dedicated to teach them the skills needed for self-sufficiency.
